2017 Hyundai Elantra vs. 2016 Hyundai Elantra at Mike Miller Hyundai

The Hyundai Elantra has been a popular vehicle at Mike Miller Hyundai for many years, but as the new models come out each year, we become increasingly impressed by the model. Our Hyundai dealership is happy to tell you more about the latest Hyundai Elantra that features new items, including a new engine for some trim levels, and we will also tell you about the many great features that were included on the previous model year. 2016 Hyundai Elantra- This sedan comes in four trim levels: SE, Value Edition, Limited, and Sport. Those first three trim levels are powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 145 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque. The Sport comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 173 hp and 154 lb-ft of torque. While these engines are impressive, so are the features that come on each trim level. The SE starts with a trip computer, satellite radio, a height-adjustable driver seat, and more. The Sport trim brings the features all the way up to items like a sport-tuned suspension, LED taillights, 17-inch wheels and more. As for safety, this sedan got the top five-star rating in government crash tests for overall safety and total side-impact protection. One safety feature on select models is the Blue Link emergency telematics system that offers remote access via a smartphone app, emergency assistance, and more.

2017 Hyundai Elantra- This model year brings you down to three trim levels: SE, Eco, and Limited. The SE and Limited are powered by a 2.0-iter four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque. The Eco, on the other hand, is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 128 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque. The features on the SE start out similar to the 2016 model. For the Limited trim level, this model comes with items like leather upholstery, Blue Link system, additional chrome body trim and more. There are also various packages that can be added on, such as the SE Tech package that adds on LED daytime running lights, keyless ignition and entry, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and more. The Limited is offered the Ultimate package that includes items like adaptive xenon headlights, forward collision warning and mitigation, and more.
