Hyundai Sonata vs. Kia Optima at Mike Miller Hyundai
At Mike Miller Hyundai, we are proud to be able to offer a great selection of new Hyundai models. We know that these new Hyundai cars are quality models that have so much to offer our customers. One model in particular that our customers love is the 2016 Hyundai Sonata. This car has plenty of space and style along with the features that will make it fun to drive.
The Hyundai Sonata has six different trim levels. The base engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. A step up is the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 245 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Eco trim level gets a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 178 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. As for the features on this sedan, they range from items like a seven-inch touchscreen display and Blue Link telematics system to more advanced features like a sunroof and heated leather seats. The features will depend on the trim level you choose, so make sure to think about the features you can’t live without. As for safety, the 2016 Hyundai Sonata received five out of five stars for front- and side-impact crash tests in government crash testing. This is also in conjunction with the large selection of safety features on this car, like lane departure warning and automatic forward collision emergency braking.
One of Hyundai Sonata model’s competitors is the 2016 Kia Optima. The Kia Optima will offer you slightly less options with just four trim levels. The base engine has the same power as the Hyundai Sonata as a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. The next engine gets slightly lower power than the second engine for the Hyundai Sonata. It is a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 178 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. The Kia Optima has one more choice for an engine, which is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 245 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. This one has the same output as the second engine for the Hyundai Sonata. The features will depend on the trim level but start with items like a five-inch central display instead of a seven-inch like the Hyundai Sonata has.
