Powertrains
Several powertrains have a footprint in the Hyundai IONIQ 6 lineup. The base Hyundai IONIQ 6 SE Standard Range trim relies on a 53-kWh battery pack and a rear-mounted electric motor for power. Those elements combine to produce 149 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The Hyundai IONIQ 6 can travel up to 240 miles with this powertrain.
A 77.4-kWh battery pack and one electric motor are standard for the remaining three models, and they produce 225 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. A dual-motor, all-wheel drive setup is also available for these models. With that configuration, the net system output measures 446 lb-ft of torque and 320 horsepower.
The estimated driving range for the Hyundai IONIQ 6 SE trim is 361 miles with rear-wheel drive or 316 miles with all-wheel drive. Since the top two models have larger wheels and more equipment, the driving ranges for them are slightly lower. More specifically, the highest trims can travel up to 305 miles with rear-wheel drive or 270 miles with all-wheel drive.*
Charging
New Hyundai EVs are among the fastest-charging vehicles of their kind. Not all EVs are compatible with the most powerful public chargers, but the Hyundai IONIQ 6 is. If you use a DC Fast Charger under the right conditions, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 can go from a 10 percent charge up to 80 percent capacity in a mere 18 minutes.*
